The course provides students with in-depth understanding of tourism development theory and practice. It facilitates the development of skills and techniques to develop tourism policies and practices in a global setting and to manage tourism and small and medium enterprise development in the direction of more sustainable practice.
II.Β Β Learning Objectives
An Associate degree in tourism and hospitality management is designed to prepare you for a broad range of managerial roles across the hospitality and tourism industry. The curriculum cover industry standards and practices; it can focus on hospitality management; convention and meeting planning; destination services management; travel and tourism; recreation related industries; fundamentals of purchasing; or food and beverage. These courses will be supplemented with classes in liberal arts, business, specialized courses in technical applications, leadership, and case analysis applied to the global industry.
III.Β Β Learning Outcomes
Students graduated from the program will be expected to have knowledge and practical skills in:
- developing leadership and management skills through group cooperation
- describing the roles and functions of a leadership and management in the hospitality industry
- understanding the importance of the continuous improvement process
