The Faculty of Law’s vision is to be one of finest national law schools in Cambodia. It aspires to an international reputation in defined areas of research and scholarship, and in terms of its ability to attract international students, particularly for the purpose of graduate studies in law.
A degree from the IU Faculty of Law will be recognized by the legal profession and other employers of legally educated persons as affirmation that the graduate is fully qualified and competent to serve the needs of the employer, the legal profession and the community with the utmost skill, knowledge and integrity. The Faculty of Law will continue to prepare future leaders, locally, provincially and nationally.
Mission
The mission of the Faculty of Law is to provide service to the community, to educate prospective lawyers and others seeking a thorough understanding of the law and legal system, and to promote the acquisition of legal knowledge and the advancement of legal scholarship. The Faculty of Law seeks to meet society’s needs for access to justice, for public understanding of the law and the legal system, for improvement of the legal system itself and for legal services, through its efforts to generate and disseminate knowledge of the law and about the law, to prepare students to contribute responsibly to the betterment of society in their use of theory and practice of law, and to support public legal education.
